Does anyone know why Sierra has no ratings or comments for it in the Mac App Store? Seems kinda odd. I haven't upgraded to it yet and reading reviews and seeing ratings help me when deciding to purchase stuff.

Maybe people don't think to review the OS? Never occurred to me since it's what came on my computer when I bought it. If you google macOS Sierra reviews, you get plenty of hits though!

Just seems odd to me. From what I can see it's the only thing on the Mac App Store that there is no option to rate or review it.

Apple doesn't allow reviews or comments on it.

Yes I can see that. But why though? Previous OSX releases had the option to rate and review.
How could anyone outside of Apple know why?
I can't say that I have ever read, or found a need to, read reviews of an operating system from anonymous people in the App Store.

Probably can't review it since starting with macOS Sierra, you no longer "purchase" it with the App Store. It doesn't need to be linked to your Apple ID to download (as long as you're running 10.11.5 or later, I believe).

There is a reason: people are used to rate apps. People are not used to rate OSes. This means that the average user does not take their time to go to the App Store and review it. Who goes there, then? The guys with a terrible experience that do not know the proper channels for bug reporting / finding help.

Their experience are very biased compared to the majority of users.
