No service after jailbreak

I jailbroke my 1st gen. iphone using winpwn and afterwards i have no service, walked around my house no service... is it more likely that att has a tower down or that jailbreaking messed up the service...

Make sure you uncheck 'activate' in the advanced options. Well actually that's what I had to do with my 3G not sure about first gen.

I had the same issue as well. Just uncheck the activate option and then rebuild the file.
