All right, I didn't stand in line, spend $600, and wait for months to get this phone and see "No Service" at the top of the freakin' screen! AT&T, your maps tell me I should have Good service, I have No service at all, not 1 bar, not a single bar...There should be at least moderate service in this entire area and I can't get 1 bar...

Because I'm a new customer, will maybe the service take a little while, I mean, what the hell? I'm super upset and nervous right now...

So sorry.... :( I don't mean to make you feel worse but a couple of weeks ago there was a thread I can't remember what it was about... but someone who lives up in your neck of the woods, said he wasn't going to buy the iPhone because at&t doesn't have good coverage around there. I hope this isn't the issue in your specific areaa... :(

Thing is, my friend down the street gets 3 bars, and he's surrounded by more woods than I. I'm about to lose my mind.

well do you have a signal if you step out of your house. A friend of mine at her house I get zero signal if I am in the house but the 2nd I step out side i get full bars. Reason being is her house happens to have a metal layer in the roof for helping keep the house cool but it completely screws up cell phones.

When you go outside and drive around do you get a signal? If you do then you probably don't get a signal inside of your house and you are probably just out of luck....

Is not having a signal and my house that big of a deal, does anyone here use their cell in their house much, or mostly just on the go?

If I could just find a place in the house where I can use the phone...then I could use a bluetooth headset to talk even if I wasn't near the phone, it'd be a pain, but it'd be better than nothing I s'pose.

Gotta just find that spot now.
