"No Services Available"

Hello,

Got an account with NOIP.COM to point to my dynamic IP address from ISP.

Setup static IP in Airport Extreme router to ".50" (last digits) to point to server.

Installed MacOS Server and after some work (thanks Todd Othoff), it says that that domain name from noip.com is reachable.

I set up open directory and dns. Enabled File Sharing, VPN and Wiki.

Yet, in the "Internet" area under the server information itself "Reachability Details" says 'no services available.'.

I'm confused whether I need to use the ".50" from the static IP config in the router in the DNS information on the server (server seems to want to use .10) or exactly what.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Gotta be something simple.

Sorry no answer here, other than I have exactly the same issue, but the services I have set up are reachable and work.

Sorry no answer here, other than I have exactly the same issue, but the services I have set up are reachable and work.

I re-installed everything and the only "available" service that does show up now is VPN. And, it does work. Small progress.

Everything else works fine as long as I'm inside the network. It all resolves fine. Small consolation.

But, alas, outside the network (as with testing on a cell phone hotspot), coming in, I can't get to the basic site. Port 80 appears blocked. The Apple availability checker also only lists VPN as the single reachable service.

I spent the requisite 2 hours on hold and talking to Comcrap. I don't have confidence this will be fixed since they couldn't quite grasp that it wasn't the modem or the router, at all, since it's "outside" my network that can't access the server (but I still had to reboot the router and they still had to send multiple signals to the cable modem...).

They escalated the issue whatever that means. I'm not holding my breath.

If anything develops, I'll post back.

Got everything working!

In my case, I had forgotten to go to the router in Mac Server (second icon down from the top) and explicitly allow Websites and other services. Wiki apparently uses the same port so it's not listed. It works, too.

For some web services I wrote, I had to manually add that port in the same location using "Other". They work, too.

So score one for Comcrap. It was me not them. This time.
