:(

Ordered iSight and QuickTime 7 Pro from the Apple Store on the 18th of November (both had 24hrs Shipping Time). I had an issue with the Quicktime 7 key being registered with the wrong name, after much faffing with emails and then being told to ring, I was told i couldnt change the username and id have to 'live with it' more or less because its not a 'fault'. Had the site told me it would use my BILLING ADDRESS name as the Registered User i could have checked

Well at least my iSight will be here soon... so i thought. It's the 25th of November and no sign of it.

I tracked the item using the form on the Apple site and its bank. Gives me two codes and says its being sent by TNT.

First code didnt work, second code did. Showed me the right info from the looks of it saying..

Reference 8028371353
Pick Up Date 21/11/2005
Delivery Service NEXT WORKING DAY
Destination MABLETHORPE
Date Time Location Status
25/11/2005 08:16 NOTTINGHAM Allocated for delivery

Thing is that date and time in NOTTINGHAM changed from 22..23...24... now 25... now its just given up completley and is stuck on the 25th.

I rang TNT, they don't know where it is. After being on the hone for 20mins being bounced about to different people, they told me they would get someone to ring me back within 2 hours (in the Depot?). No one did.

I rang again today, and now im told on Monday someone will ring me to 'help' find out where it is... so i guess im not getting it by Monday either then.

Who's fault is this? Apple's or TNT's?? This isnt hard, i ordered a small item it should be here.

I'll just hold out but so far my first purchase from the 'official' Apple Store has been pathetic. I'm sticking with the reseller i used in future, which gave me 1000% better service than this (i ordered from Apple Store because the reseller didnt have iSight in stock btw).

EDIT:

Actually its quite funny in a sort of irritating but ironic way. 'TNT' seem to have destroyed my parcel ;)

Uh, with all this holiday stuff going on, they're probably just holding delivery for a while until they an do it. I mean the 18th wasn't that far away. Do you know what day it shipped.

Yeah it shiped on the 21st aparentley. But TNT can't find any 'history' for the package, it seems to have been picked up and then no one knows where it is. Delivery was 3-7 days i believe from the Apple site. The TNT delivery said it was 'NEXT DAY'.

Ok i think it now falls back into the catogory of 'Apples Fault'

I rang TNT again, since they keep telling me they will ring back in an hour.. or on xx day, or within 2 hours and i never get a call. They keep loging 'querys' but thats as far as i get.

Anyhow, they told me that Apple appear to not have given them part of the shipment (part of it? there is only one part) and they will look into it. Apple have sent me something....

WTF is going on.
