No SIM error?

I have been using my phone all weekend and today service went out and it said no SIM installed. Any ideas on what may be causing this?

Shutdown the phone and remove the sim. NEVER take it out with phone on. Then place it back in to make sure its seated right. If that does not work, a new sim card will be needed.
