I don't know if this problme arose in 10.4.4 or before, but I just noticed it before couple of days. I get no sound from any flash content online in any of the browsers. Safari oe Firefox. I tried playing various google video and many other flash sites on my iMac G5 , but no sound. I tried those same videos and sites on my powerbook G4 and I get sound. Everything works fine on Powerbook. What can be a problem ?

I uninstalled flash and reinstalled Flash 8 plugin couple of times on iMac, but still same problem. Restarted after every install/uninstall but still the same. Any suggession ? I uninstalled Flip4Mac webplugin, but still no sound. Tried all possible problems I can think of. Please tell me if there is any proper way to solve this problem. My QT, Flip4Mac plugins work just fine, gives sound and everything. Its just flash which suddenly stopped giving no sound. Help appreciated. :(

dude...try to check your audio settings in Audio Midi Setup. Make sure its not over 44100.
that happened to me and that was the problem
hope it helps.

A quick way to reset core audio is to open then close Garageband. There's a bug in Tiger that sometimes makes the Audio Midi Setup corrupt, as ldenman said. :)

That solves it !

Thanks guys. Somehow my audio MIDI set-up had sound out freq. 96KHz. Flash does not like that ! I set it to 48KHz and it works. Seems like anything above 48KHz does not work. Anyone know the reason for this ? I would assume higher sampling would be better quality....

Thanks again ..

rnot sure why its not supported, but I prefer 441000. I try to use a much higher sample rate with reason, but my music gets too crackly. I suppose my computer can't handle it. Any way, I'm glad its fixed. I remember being so frustrated when it happened to me. :)
