I had not restarted my MBP for a while, and just recently I though something was out of place when restarting. When I restarted in boot camp yesterday I figured out what it was...no start up chime!

Is there a way to disable the startup chime that im not aware of on these newer machines? A no startup chime usually means something bad is going on the hardware level, but the computer still boots up fine and everything works normal.

This is defiantly very weird, what do you guys think?

I have a 2.4 MBP 15 inch.

If you have muted your machine before rebooting, this will also mute the startup chime.

Give it a shot.
