Hi I am very new to the Mac and i'm loving it. I have an iMac G5 (with iSight)
Please can someone help me with a problem I'm having with Real player and Quicktime.
I can play audio files from my mac but not any streaming audio eg online radio stations etc. The players show the time counting along but there is no audio.
Both players were working fine a few days ago, the only thing I have changed is installing iLife 06.
Thanks very much for reading my probably silly question.
Simon.

Well, have you installed any other plug ins recently that could have corrupted the RealPlayer and QuickTime plug ins? I don't know about RealPlayer because I don't have it installed but look for a file named com.apple.quicktime.plugin.preferences.plist and drag it the Desktop, then maybe restart. :)

I have not installed any plugins as far as I know, tried re installing Realplayer but no joy.
Anybody else have any ideas ?

Try launching Apple's GarageBand software once. That can fix audio problems on recent Mac hardware.
