Good news since a lot of people were saying that the 3G plans would cost $15 or $30 plus up to $10 of taxes. It is not the case, the price is $15 or $30 and that's it.

The macrumors picture made it seem like taxes are separate from the plan cost.

Ya, I noticed that when signing up.

It's $29.99 per month. No separate/additional costs for taxes, FCC fees, or whatever. Considering this plus the fact there's no contract, going back to a 2G with EDGE disabled (either hacktivated and FakeAPN'ed or calling AT&T and manually removing it) may be a great supplement to the iPad 3G.

Not sure about the Macrumors screen shot but my bank account was charged exactly $14.99.

I was charged tax. I ordered the unlimited and was charged something like 2.43 in tax. I live in Wisconsin.

No tax in New York (where they charge tax for internet out-of-state purchases), so I'm happy.

I give it till the end of the year....

for the states and the Fed to realize the taxes they are missing....

Though someone that has one of those MiFi devices from Verizon may tell us that they have no extra taxes beyond the plan....

That would be nice if there was no tax in ca but I doubt it, everything seems to be taxed here
