No turning on when plugging headphones with ios 10?

With ios 9 with ipad off, when I plugged in the headphones the ipad turned on. This doesn't work anymore with ios 10

Is there a way to set up that behaviour again?

Not really. It was changed in iOS. Maybe there's some jailbreak tweak for something like that, but that would only apply if you are jailbroken.

It's a pity, can't understand why they remove some great features
