No video input for 2011 imac?

I fear you are correct. They made a big thing about this on the last generation and I see nothing in current specs like you. Looks like it has been quietly let slip.
The "support" section of the apple site doesn't have manuals available yet no no help from there either.

same here.. and i was hoping video input on the new thunderbolt imacs would finally support full 1080p resolution (if i understood everything correctly the last gen imacs only supported 720p video in - my old 24" doesn't support video in at all so can't test)..
thats the one feature that was tipping me over the upgrade from my 24" so I can hook my MBP in. Maybe I'll look for a used 27" on CL
According to MacRumors at least the 27" one does (doesn't mention 21.5" though, so not sure about that one)
Well then this is a major problem because I just confirmed with Apple Online Chat that BOTH the new 21.5 and 27 do indeed support Video Input.
And I quote: "With the new thunderbolt technology, the new iMac 21" will be able to support video input like the 27"" -Marie (an Apple Expert)

the t-bolt connections are bi directional so you should be able to use them for video in.

Full 1080p through ThunderBolt?
Are you guys saying that we are finally going to have a good work around for the fact that Steve Jobs does not want Bluray drives in his machines? In other words, are we actually going to be able to play Blurays via a connected PS3 and watch them in FULL 1080p glory on our iMac screens?
