I originally unlocked my brother's iPhone (I think with Independance and another app, via WIFI)

That hosed his WIFI and Bluetooth and then he did an official Apple update that bricked the phone.

I've managed to resurrect it with a restore of 1.1.4 via iTunes and it's unlocked, jailbroken, etc with ziphone but still no WIFI/Bluetooth.

Please help! If using iTunes and doing a full restore doesn't work, what will?

I've done loads of searches for help but the answers seem to revolve around replacing files on the iPhone. I'm not sure how to get into the phone to see the files and which files to use. An idiot-proof walkthough would be amazing!

Hi!

I did that ... I used itunes and restored to 1.1.4 but the problem persists. Is that what you mean?

Hi,

Thanks for the tip, I just tried it .. no luck though. WIFI is still greyed out.

doesn't ZiPhone have some sort of eraser for it?

I did whatever that was and then downgraded to either 1.0.2 or 1.1.1 and it fixed the problem for me...

You guys really need to read the hackintosh forums!

ZiPhone is SO out of date and has been known to **** up wi-fi!

Use iPlus - DFU to 1.1.4 and unlock/activate etc using iPlus... that MAY fix it - if it doesn't I suggest you post on the software unlock section of hackintosh.
