Great info we get here. Very knowledgeable people.

Since I still can't get the iPad where I live, I've been trying to gather as much info as possible for what I NEED it to do for me.

In a classroom setting with NO wireless internet, is it possible to open pdf and iWork documents? I'd love to be able to use the iPad at work for simple tasks (usually showing kids a one- or two-page file). Walking around with one beats the laptop hands-down (I understand it's nothing close to my MacBook Pro for file management or creating long docs, and wasn't expecting it either).

Thks for your help

Thks a mil 'Demi God' (like ... wow!)

So happy to hear that. Hopefully, we're close to iPad being a stand-alone computer (bye bye heavy laptops). Boy we've become demanding!
