Hey guys,

Recently, I noticed a noise inside of my phone. I've never dropped the thing or anything, and it may have been there for a while, but I just noticed it.

Anyways, when I shake my phone, a distinct shaking sound can be heard. I thought it might be sand or something, but it's more then that. It sounds like little bits inside are shaking around, and it sounds like they're of various sizes and maybe materials. The sound can be distinctly heard from a few feet away.

Should I be worried about this? Will Apple replace it? I'm still within my warranty.

Solved! Called Apple and in less then 15 minutes I have a replacement on it's way: due Tuesday!

New question: Can I expect to get a brand new phone as a replacement, or a refurb? Will it have the used-phone charactercteristics, like scratches on the back, etc? If it's not brand new inside, will it appear brand new from the outside?

I have gone through 5 iPhones and almost all of them made a rattle sound when you shook it. I only got one that didn't make the sound, but it had a sticky silent switch. My current iPhone does have the rattle but I think I can live with it.
