Has anyone else tried Noise.io yet? It's absolutely mind-blowing what it can do. I stumbled upon it about two months ago when I was looking for an iPhone synthesizer after trying the various piano applications and Band. I guess the fact it was delayed for those two months contributed somewhat to its quality.

I've already put together and uploaded a couple of patch banks for it, definitely looking forward to some more skilled sound designers doing the same.

Obligatory web linky for those who don't know what on earth I'm ranting about: http://noise.io/.

Oh and for the App Store: http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=294767228&mt=8

I'm pretty sure it's the best App for the iPhone yet, but others might beg to differ.

Its really cool. But the interface is completely all over the place. I must say after playing & learning it a little I'm getting used to it. The sounds that you can create are endless and its like Beatmaker But Noise.io is made for creating the Sounds.

Thumbs up for me .... but the thing most people will complain about is the confusing interface.... but thats the way these audio programs are.

What, you mean like this on the day of release?

I think the interface is very good. Each page links to a related page. Yes, it's pretty complex looking, but given the power of the app, that is hardly surprising. And the great news is that the makers of Noise.io have been talking with those of Beatmaker and there should be an ability to link the two together in a future update. So, create sounds in Noise.io and export for use in Beatmaker (hopefully without need for a computer in the middle, but that may be just wishful thinking). Now that will be cool.

First 2009 Noise.io Pro newsletter

Just wanted to let you know that Noise.io update to v. 1.2 will be available within several days - we're waiting for Apple's approval. It will contain all we promised to do: record, beatmaker integration, .wav/.caf export, built-in server (with audio preview) and even some more features. As usual, more info is available at our website: http://noise.io

We're also working on 2-way midi-over-wifi but cannot tell right now when it will be implemented.

Mmmmh... Direct export to Beatmaker (need Beatmaker 1.3.2, which is not released yet), record, .wav export... Sounds really good!
