i'm after some decent software for noise suppression on my powerbook. i'm currently using Imagenomic's Photoshop CS2 plugin and it's awful on the mac...it wasnt great on my PC, but it's horrible on here, doesnt do anything imo.

does anyone know of a decent proggy for doing this? it can be a plugin or anything, i just want it to work :(

i've recently taken a lot of low-light photographs and they're quite noisy...i find that getting rid of the noise is making the photos look horrible :(

can anyone help me out?

thanks :)

What camera are you using? Mine does it automatically for me. I have a Konica Minolta Maxxum 7d. I think on other cameras you might be able to turn that option on. But I don't know that if you use a program after words does it look better?

Thats my two cents,

Noise Ninja's what I use. it's definitely got the ease of use factor, and it's much more powerful than the noise reduction built-in to PS.

in-camera noise reduction tends to cause a lot of loss of detail, especially at high ISO's when it's strongest. i wish i could turn it off in my camera...
