Noise when putting iMac 2020 into sleep mode. Is this normal?

I just noticed this yesterday. When putting my 2020 iMac (i7, 5700XT, macOS 12.2) into sleep mode, the fan stops spinning after a few seconds and after about 10 seconds i can hear a high pitched sound from the iMac that sounds a bit like a harddisk readhead seeking. It lasts maybe a second and then stops. This does not happen when i shut down the iMac. I don't think it is the fan since that spins down way before the sound appears.

Does anybody with a 2020 iMac also hear this sound?

Mine did that sometimes. Returned it because of that and the replacement also made that sound. I think it's normal.
