This is something I've been meaning to ask for a while. On all my TVs, both my ATV2 and ATV3 have 'noisy' black backgrounds. What I mean is... if I connect my PS3 and a game or a Blu-Ray movie has a black (or predominantly black) screen, the screen of my display is completely black, none of the pixels on my Plasma TV or LCD TV are doing anything when you get up close.

However, when I switch to my ATV2 or 3, even with the same HDMI cable, the black background on most of the menus is slightly noisy and when you get up close to the TV you can see that the phospors are firing still. You can even see a slight image burn of what was on the previous menu, but it's not actual image burn from the TV as it disappears the instant you change input sources.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Yes mine does the same thing. I noticed watching The Walking Dead Better Angels episode at the end.
