Nokia 9 = AOSP type flagship

The upcoming Nokia 9 is looking to a beast. After the Nokia 8, I wasn't sure they were going to release another phone even higher up.

Spec's:

-SD835
-6GB RAM
-Full screen design like the LG V30
-OLED screen
-IP68
-Wireless charging
-3,800mAh ( massive battery along the old Droid MAXX style they say )
-OS will be more of a AOSP style, ala Motorola sort of.

Bloody nora, hope this comes to fruition.
I looked at the Nokia 8 and considered it for all of 30 seconds before deciding I wasn't struck on the design.
I loved the copper colour (which what a surprise! - isn't available yet), but the front of the phone was a little stuck in the past.

If they can trim some of the bezel and keep the copper as seen in the images there then I will definitely be interested.
Specs look great.

Fingers crossed it comes out in the UK.

No word of a release date, but I think still this year ? I would guess November release ? And i want to see real specs, what's the screen size ? Rumors of it being 5.3" have been around a while, but with an all screen near bezel less display, I would think much larger than that. And I have also heard the large battery is coming too, but we hear that a lot, and it's not always true in reality

I would certainly be interested if it was due for a release before the end of the year.
So much choice at the moment it's crazy.
This, Pixel XL 2, Note 8 still a contender, iPhone X - lots to chew over!

Almost seems like you wouldn't go far wrong with any of them either. Nice to see there's a bit of competition for Samsung and Apple.

I do worry that Nokia are almost going a bit release crazy though. The last thing we need is another Sony where a flagship is replaced within 3 months.

Nice phone, still has pretty large top/bottom bezels though, and from what I understand will be as expensive as other flagships. Still, a good AOSP option IF they can put out updates fast enough. I don't think they've released Oreo updates for their other current phones.

I wouldn't say those bezels were pretty large?
It looks like a really great screen to bezel ratio for me, enough to be able to hold the phone yet not too bevelicious to still look modern and not like it was designed in 2012. :D

Will definitely keep my eye on how this develops.
I feel like Nokia are lacking a true flagship since they returned. The 8 looked good, but they need something like this to truly put them back on the map, IMO.
