I seriously doubt I'll ditch my iP4 for the Lumia 900, but I have to say that I'm really excited to see this phone in person. Apparently it will be available at AT&T (my current carrier) on April 9th for $100 on contract. I have yet to encounter an Android device that truly impressed me, but I love the look of the 900 plus it is 4G LTE.

Isn't the Nokia a Windows phone?

I really don't like the Windows OS. I have a Lumia 800 and i hardly use it, just prefer IOS, so much easier and nicer to use, and to look at too.

I do want to try the Lumia 900 but one of my gripes with WP7 is that you can't really have a wallpaper picture like with other oses. It may sound a bit silly but I do like to have a picture in the background that I can change.

I haven't used a WP device though, so maybe it's too early to complain.

I seriously doubt I'll enjoy the Windows OS as much as I enjoy iOS in its current state, however I'm also tired of looking at such a small screen and not having 4G LTE. The iP4/4S leaves a lot to be desired, and I'm not entirely sure if I'm willing to wait until this fall to see the improvements (4G LTE and larger screen) that I want so badly.

I most likely won't jump to the Lumia 900, but I don't know for sure until I get to try it out in-store.

I love WP7 and the Lumia 900 is a beautiful phone. WP7 still has a lot of growing pains when it comes to apps and developers, but I love the OS.

I just had a conversation with my sister last night, I was telling her that I am planning on getting the Lumia 900 when it comes out and that I am actually excited for a Windows 8 tablet later this year (I already have Windows 8 on my iMac and boot into it frequently).

A deciding factor for the Lumia 900 would have to be the Camera. I know it has an 8MP camera, but if the photos don't look good or the camera takes to long to load/capture the image, then it will be a deal breaker. I use the camera on my iPhone a lot.

Games and Apps, not so much because I have an iPod touch and an iPad to handle those needs.

I prefer the Lumia 800 because of its size. The camera needs work however. The 900 is getting to big again for my taste. So its either the iPhone 5 or Lumia 800 for me later this year. ;)

Lumia review

http://reviews.cnet.com/cell-phones/nokia-lumia-800-black/4505-6454_7-35052860-2.html

Camera performance is a big question mark hanging over the Lumia 800. Nokia has a good reputation for high camera quality, notable on the Nokia Astound and the unlocked Nokia N8. With a Carl Zeiss Tessar lens, dual-LED flash, and support for the wide-screen 16:9 aspect ratio, the Lumia 800's got a promising shooter. Unfortunately, in my tests it fell flat with a resounding smack.”

“The eight megapixel camera on the Lumia 800 is exactly the same unit that we reviewed on the N9. It's been around for a while and it suffers from a few foibles, but the underlying hardware is top-notch”

I love my iP4, but it's starting to look quite stale next to more modern phones. I'm definitely gong to check this out when it hits the street.

That's how I feel. I wish the next iPhone were coming this summer. But I seriously doubt it. And I don't know if I have the patience to wait until fall.

I played with the lumia 900 in person and it is a very sexy phone. Great build quality, great screen, great call quality and a very nice camera. Rumors are saying that it costs $450 to buy the unlocked version. If it is true, then I am really tempted to get one.

I'm going to play with a 900 as soon as I can. I'll probably just wait until the next iPhone comes this fall to upgrade, but I'm still pretty intrigued by this phone.

Got to use the Lumia 900 today. Wasn't very impressed. 4G LTE is crazy fast, faster than wi-fi for sure. Build quality is also nice. But I wasn't digging the rest. Text is fuzzy on the web browser compared to the iPhone 4/4S. Form factor is significantly heavier and larger than the iPhone 4/4S. Not saying it sucks, but I don't think it's going to be a huge hit either.

And where did you get to play with this unreleased device?
I know none of the AT&T stores have any out on display yet since they are still in pre-order status.

Walmart uses LetsTalk to sell their phones.
Better love the phone or be prepared to get hit with fees for returns and exchanges.
Their return policy is different than AT&T's, so read it carefully.
My brother got burned by them before.

You also cannot cancel or downgrade your plan for 6 months or you pay a penalty.
Failure to maintain the minimum qualifying service plan for 181 days may subject the purchaser to a $250 charge back if such action results in the loss of carrier commissions by LetsTalk.com.

You also cannot return or exchange the phone at a Walmart store.
You have to ship it back.
