I was at an AT&T store and this phone caught my eye. I picked it up and was playing with it. I have to admit, it feels like a solid well built phone. Windows 8 on the phone looked pretty good too. It was smooth, and everything was easy on it. Anyone here have one? How do you like it?

Nokia Lumia 920 Windows, Not bad

I agree it looks like a solid built phone. Even thought about buying it for a second.
Point being, I had never seen in real life situations before. Got to see it yesterday at a phone store here, and it just turned me off.
I mean this thing is HUGE, HUMONGOUS, BIG.....Don't get me wrong, I get that the trend is to get huge phones (see GSIII, iPhone 5, Notes and whatnots), but this is just going against my needs.

The Lumia 920 is a really refreshing device. Built like a tank, but doesn't feel to big. Great camera. The OS took a little to get used to as we'll as finding similar apps, but I'm not lacking apps for things I do. After 3 days I knew I wasn't going back to my Galaxy Note so I sold it. No regrets after 2 weeks so far.

No regrets after 2 weeks so far.
Check out the pocketnow channel on youtube. They have some good videos on Win 8 for phones and some reviews on the phones. We have a Lumia 900 here as a backup phone and found the app store to be really limited, and the scheme to be very monotone. 8 looks like a little less monotone but they just strike me as very 'basic' functionality wise. Like you can setup the phone to get gmail account emails but its just a generic square that says gmail. At least on the 900 running Win 7 version of the OS you couldn't even change the wall paper, and got two color schemes (dark and bright).
Besides gmail and your calendars everything else is non existent.
You can get google voice but it isnt official, and you'll have to give your account information to a third party. Same thing for YouTube, Metrotube is ok.
I test drove a 920 for 10 days. For the most part I loved it. I really miss the camera. The hardware on the 920 is top notch and the build quality is amazing. It's a Nokia for sure.
In the end, I had to give it up because the lack of any google presence for WP8. Gmail is sloppy, and there is no dedicated app for it that doesn't suck. No way to google video chat either.
I did really enjoy the way notifications are unified on your "me" tile. I loved the live tiles (wish more apps used them) and overall the OS was refreshing. I'm keeping my eye on the WP8 platform for sure. If google rolls out some real support for it and the app selection beefs up some (some of my crucial ones are missing) I'd pick one back up for sure.

I'm not sure exactly what you mean. The phone supports Gmail natively. I just think the access to gmail features is limited, and the notifications do not sync. Same goes for facebook. I would get a facebook notification. It shows up on my facebook tile, and my "me" tile. If I use the app to clear the notification, it still shows up on the "me" tile. Kinda annoying. All the notifications seemed to work this way for me.
Example- when I use facebook for iOS, all of the crap (farmville) that I blocked from my computer do not appear in my feed. On the 920, everything showed up on my feed including apps and people I had blocked. And support for a lot of facebooks features are not there, much like gmail.
iOS certainly isn't perfect either, especially when it comes to notifications. Call me old fashioned, but I think iOS and WP8 would be a lot nicer if they used the status bar for notifications. All that vacant space just sitting there not being used. Instead we get annoying banners that I end up just turning off anyway, and app badges that you have to look for if the app is not on your first page. Why not use all that space to place different icons representing different notifications? This, NC settings, and lockinfo are the main reasons I jailbreak.

I played with one yesterday, seems a nice phone, and I quite like Windows 8 Mobile. Made me feel more than I did before that iOS needs an overhaul.

I think a true power user is going to be disappointed. Everything one NEEDS is there, but there certainly are a lot of little things missing. Right now my biggest gripe is not being able to set a custom text tone for contacts. I am having the toughest time with that. Everything else is alright.
The best thing the phone has going for it in its current state is the price and freebies. Some states had it this Black Friday weekend for $50. On top of that you get a wireless charger (which is a huge cluster ******* of backorders, unfortunately). Amazon is currently running a $0.01 promo for the black color only. For the specs and the smoothness of the UI the price is unbeatable.
I think if Windows Phone is going to grow rapidly, now is the time for that to happen. With the changes MS made regarding third party development for their Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 platforms, I feel we will see a lot more uptake. They also seem to be pushing pretty hard with their mall stores and mall kiosks in densely populated cities.

The main problems with Lumia 920 are all software related.
The hardware is excellent. Best screen on the market, best build quality, looks sexy, decent battery life, very good camera, fast processor. And it is safe to assume that Windows Phone will only improve in time.

I switched from an iPhone 5 to a white Lumia 920 yesterday, so far not regretting it. I was actually surprised at how many apps I DID find, though of course I'm missing a lot of my iOS favorites. You get a big screen, yet the phone retains a sleek, minimalist look, its great.
Google won't make any apps until Microsoft proves that Google not appearing on Windows Phone is a hindrance for Google, not Microsoft.
Seriously, it's not that hard for someone to throw a switch and deliver the iOS version of gmail in IE10 instead of the WEP version from 1999.
After one and a half days I really like it. The iPhone 5 just seemed to fragile. With the 920 you get a big screen in a sleek, minimalist, solid package. There is bulk shock at first which goes away quickly. I would have had a Mophie on my iPhone anyway, so the size and weight are the same in that respect. The app shock isn't as bad as I thought it would be either. A lot are missing, but it doesn't have the same ghost town feel of Blackberry. I can just use my iOS faves on my iPad mini. Nokia Drive is great, city lens is more useful than reviews are letting on, Maps not as pretty but more useful with transit directions, great email client, still figuring out the camera stuff and Nokia music.
If you think the iPhone 5 is too light/thin, but don't want to go back to the old tech of the 4S, and don't want to sell out to Android, the 920 is a good alternative.
My cousin got the 920 and I had a chance to play around with it for awhile over Thanksgiving and I came away fairly impressed. It was incredibly fast at loading up things and the low light ability of the camera is outstanding and quite possibly the best I have seen on a phone.
But, one reason I am using an Android myself is that I like to tinker and I like to have different looks for my phone. Windows phones look all the same. I think I would get quite tired of the look after awhile. But the hardware is pretty sweet on the 920, I must say.

Well, have to admit its a very decent phone at first sight, not to mention the impressive specs of the phone and the camera too. However, for me, I think it's a tad too bulky and heavy, especially in a era whereby other companies are all introducing slimmer and lighter smartphones. I think even my 3GS is not as heavy as the 920.
If I were to consider a phone right now, it would be a battle between the iPhone 5, the LG Nexus 4 and the Samsung Galaxy S3.
