Jeez, and to see the hysteria that this fake company instilled. Heck, it got on the front page of Wired.com, both Engadget and Gizmodo were suckered in on it. The discussion of "Legality" was rampant before anyone actually had "Confirmation" of purchase or ship date. Digg.com had several front page stories regarding Psystar.

Suckers.

Yeah. It is nice concept, but impractical. Also we buy Mini not for the freakin' computer, but for the experience and the support.

MR should print a front-page retraction of this. Why did they hype up the company so much, then fail to follow up when it turned out to be a hoax?

WOW, this is funny cause I read something on the ars tech site, where WOZ said he wanted one. Why the hoax? I personally would'nt buy one.

LOL!!!

I posted here ages ago that the "company" PSYSTAR is pronounced SHYSTER.

I suppose if a company called ROB BERRY INC. said it was coming out with a new computer using OSX, everyone here would take that seriously too!

It's been amusing though, watching people writing seriously about an outfit called SHYSTER. April 1st was a couple of weeks ago, but it looks like the SHYSTER joke still has legs.

Dictionary definition: shyster
Pronunciation: shīs-tər
noun
Etymology: probably from German Scheisser, literally, defecator
A person who is professionally unscrupulous

I agree that MR should post something about this new info. I sumited the link to MR, but I'm assuming its just been a busy period for MR staff, since they have lives off MR too.

People reposting that link ... and just because they are idiots and fools that cannot get their act together.

Doesn't mean they weren't stupid enough to want to try to do this thing.

Remember, Jack Campbell turned up look like a shadier fool ... but he actually deliver quite a bit of product. Even with thing going odd behind the scenes.
