Non-Apple SSD in 2011 Mac Mini?

Does anybody know if we can replace the stock drive in the Mac Mini with a non-Apple SSD without any weird side-effects? The 2011 iMacs have a built in temperature sensor on the main hard drive, where if you swap it out with a non-Apple drive, it causes the fans to constantly run at full speed.

I'd like to put my own SSD in one of these.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Edge installed an OCZ Vertext 2 in his today and appeared to have no problems with it. He did have to use the new internet-install option for Lion and was unable to use a USB drive to do the installation though.
