I did the software update yesterday and since then I have been experiencing that the facial recognition is not working and the screen is unable to be swiped. Apple restored the phone yesterday but still occurring.

Anybody else?

No issues on my X... I updated yesterday as well. Sounds like something went bonkers so I agree, I'd get it replaced ASAP.

Thank you! I will be on the walk in line this afternoon for a replacement. Earliest available appointment was 2/27 in the afternoon.

What do you mean by Apple restored the phone yesterday? did you go to an apple store and they restored it?

This might be silly but did you trying doing a reboot? tap volume up, tap volume down, hold power button until you see the white apple.

Yes, the Apple Store restored it to "new" and then utilized the most recent iCloud backup. I am unable to reboot with the method you mentioned.

Wipe the phone and set as new, try to see if that helps until 2/27. OR you could call apple and tell them you can't wait that long and they send you a replacement.
