I bought an Achieva Shimian 27" that only has the dual-DVI port for my PC gaming machine in March of 2012 for $325 shipped, when the craze was still in its infancy. Since then, I have used the monitor on a bunch of rebuilds (I don't tend to keep hardware that long), lent it to my brother for his temporary usage, and am currently using it, right now as I type this, on my Mac Mini. Granted, I had to spend the money to buy the active Mini Displayport adapter from Apple before it would work on my Mini, but I have to say I have no regrets whatsoever about my purchase.
Considering, the monitor that you are looking at comes with a DP/Thunderbolt port, it looks like all you would need is a Displayport to Mini Displayport cable, and you should be all set. If were buying today, I would probably end up picking the same model that you are looking at now, OP. Having the right ports built in, is much more convenient then constantly having to swap adapters to fit the proper video port.
For what it's worth, my display arrived in 3 business days from Korea to my home in NJ, and has no dead/stuck pixels with uniform backlighting. Perhaps, I got lucky, but there are many others are have been just as fortunate as I. Don't get me wrong, I like Dell products (hell, I've got three S2240M's in an Nvidia Surround setup now), but for the price difference, it's hard to beat the value of the Korean monitors (IPS, glossy, no AG coating, possibility of 120Hz refresh rate depending on model, etc.).
