PCSX-Reloaded is under active development and can play PlayStation 1 games just fine. This is a full-featured port that, with a bit of tweaking with the source code, can be built in 64-bit mode, but I recommend 32-bit as it is more tested.
PCSX2 for Mac is working on porting PCSX2 to the Macintosh. As it sits, it's not very complete. I think it can only play ISOs and it uses X11.

hi, thanks guys. just a little extra info. I will be using original ps discs and I have OS X lion. but can vmware vista if neccessary although I'd rather not, that's only used for one program to transfer media to my creative zen vision W. unless anyone knows of an OS X fix for that too?
