I have done a few servers it would be too tight to use a 12.5 mm with a 9.5mm.

so a pair of 9.5mms is the way to go. if you had the mini hdd it is 9.5 mm.


If you get a 7mm ssd and a 12.5mm hdd you may get it to fit.

simple math 9.5mm + 9.5 mm= 19mm

7.0 mm + 12.5 mm = 19.5mm close so maybe


I think toshiba makes a 12.5mm 1 tb hdd and the samsung 830 ssd is 7mm.

My sandisk extreme SSD is 9.5mm and the default HD that came with is 12.5mm

I guess if it's too tight, I will get the Scorpio blue 1TB 9.5mm
