None of my applications will open!

I have the iPhone 3g. When I try to click on any of the applications I downloaded from the app store, it goes briefly to the app, then kicks me right back to the home screen. Safari and e-mail work fine - it's just the apps. I've tried powering down the phone several times, but that hasn't helped. Any suggestions? Thanks.

This happend to me on my iPod Touch, just switch your iPhone off for a few minutes and leave it and then try it again. Worked for me.

Thanks, I appreciate the help. I left the phone off for almost 10 minutes and I still can't open any apps. Frustrating.
