Hi guys, i got my first iphone yesterday after owning an ipod touch since it launched, i had my ipod hack with installer.app, i ordered my iphone direct from apple on thursday and it was delivered friday!, now i downloaded ziphone 3.0 and plugged in my iphone, let itunes start-up and then clicked "do everything" in ziphone, Within 5 mins it had activated my iphone and i could you my t-mobile sim, Now, i assumed ziphone automatically installed installer.app on my iphone but it didnt, So i tried ziphone again and clicked "jailbreak" this time, Needless to say i got a black screen with the "major 2" error and my iphone wouldnt start-up!,

I managed to restore it by using ziphone again, Now im a bit stupid as i didnt check what firware my iphone was out of the box but it is now 1.1.2, Everything is working fine but i still dont have installer.app and my phone numbers (im in the uk) are showing with the country dailing code (+44) at the start, which is annoying!

Can anyone help me either get installer.app, or get rid/change the (+44) phone numbers?

P.s im using windows vista if that helps!

Stupid question, but you looked for Installer.app on page 2, right? ZiPhone should be installing installer.app, yes. If that doesn't work, I guess you could try the refurb button in ZiPhone and then try one of the other unlockers...

yep, ive only got one page, its only got sms, calendar, photos, camera, utube, stocks, maps, weather, clock, calc, notes, settings, itunes
ive tried restoring the firmware in either 1.1.1 in itunes (so i can use the jailbreakme.com hack) or 1.1.2 but i get an error every time i restore in itunes!

No sorry, is 1.1.4 the latest version? so i can just click restore in itunes and have it back to 1.1.4? Also will restoring it to 1.1.4 mean it will re-lock it and make me have to ziphone it again?

Yes, latest, yes, re-lock, and yes, ziphone again. Take a look at the sticky thread:

Basically, you should always use iTunes to restore to 1.1.4 (latest), as I understand it, before you use ZiPhone....So if you weren't doing that, it might explain the strange results.

DONT USE ZIPHONE TO UNLOCK! it is more dangerous than other methods!

And I would not risk my £300 phone more than I need to - just because it worked once DOESN'T mean it will again!

If you have a mac use pwnage... If you don't use iLiberty+

download it from www.ipluspwns.com
