New to OSX, new to MR forums so I apologize if I'm in the wrong place.

Trying to burn a simple mp3 disc for my truck and I'm confused. In Windows any app will show you a guage or meter as you add songs and begin to fill up your disc capacity. No such luck with built-in OSX burning? More troublesome is the file size shown in the Untitled CD window is way way off from true, making it nearly impossible to guesstimate when the disc is full. See screen shot. Left window is in Finder, right window is the new disc. Am I doing something wrong? Why are the files showing as "alias" and the file size so small compared to reality?

not in front of my mac, but you're not getting the files; aliases are just SHORTCUTS to the files, so...start over. are you burning an MP3 disk? ie to play mp3 files? or a standard audio cd for a cd player?
