So i bought a 1st gen iphone. Its unlocked running 1.1.4. I wanted to jailbreak it so that i can get the installer app like i did on my ipod touch. Now im really confused on how to do it on the iphone. I have summerboard on my ipod touch. Also by jailbreaking it will this brick my iphone as its already unlcoked.
Thakns

Thats Helpful but

So im guessing this will work for Windows? And also, my phone is UNLCOKED already so would i have to click yes or no for the are you a legit user..

Lastly, will this allow me to have the isntall application? Im worried about doing this and screwing up my iphone!

Why are you staying with 1.1.4 and not upgrading to 2.0.1? If you just want 1.1.4 there are plenty of old tolls to do the job for you iLiberty, ZiPhone, WinPwn, PwnageTool.

im on 1.1.4 it has alot of apps that are not available yet on 2.0.1 like instant messenger no installer . on the subject i used winpwn and ziphone and i found that ziphone worked alot easier seeing how im not that computer savvy. its a one touch app that jailbreaks and unlocks. all the apps i downloaded work fine compared to winpwn which i could not get them to work correctly. i also found that restoring my phone back to original then using ziphone it worked perfect no errors.

??????

Not being rood but way I'm asking is will It wreck the unlock that. Have now. Also is there a step by step guide for ziphone I'm confused of how everything works like PPP say when they restore but y do I need to restore. If someone could just explain from the beginning as I have I clue at all

ever hear of google? I think in this instance, you should let your fingers do the walking. Nobody here has the time to hold your hand and walk you through step by step.
