Noob to iMacs or even Macs in general

Not only did we recently upgraded to the iPad 2, we decided we'd slowly transition over to the Mac world. That being said. Is it true that I don't need to worry about getting any sort of anti-virus (ie. norton, mcafee, etc.) programs since Macs don't get viruses? I've always been a PC user, LOL just last night I had to figure out how to do a "print screen" on a mac.... good thing google is around.

So should I not worry about viruses too much?

Get familiar with the expose in osx. It's my fav thing osx has over windows.

Definitely use Exposé. Try out spaces, too...use Command + Arrow Keys to switch between them (you can activate this in the settings).

There has never been a virus in the wild that runs on Mac OS X. The handful of trojans that exist can be easily avoided with some education and common sense and care in what software you install. Read the link that ECUpirate44 posted.

You really should never worry about viruses. My PC friends were skittish about this advice when they switched too, but trust me, you can let go of the fear.
