macOS NOOB using xcode?

I just bought my macbook pro today, awesome by the way, and I was wondering how do I start of xcode. I've found terminal and played with it a bit, but I can't find xcode anywhere. Can someone help me please?

you probably need to install it off the installation dvd. i believe it should be disc 2.
