I couldn't really find a precise sub to put this in, but since I'm aiming for iPhone/iPod Touch apps, here goes.
I want to learn how to code some basic iPhone games. I'll have some time to read and write next year, so it'd be great to learn.
I honestly have no idea how to code. I looked into HTML a while back but never pursued.
I'm not looking for anything complex, rather some basic tools that I could learn from to be able to code for a game with the same complexity level as Flappy Bird or a simple tap to juggle game.
All help is much appreciated.

Thanks

Actually a great post. I think there's a real lack of information and learning guides for people wanting to get into app development.

I always suggest starting with solving practical, albeit trivial problems to start. App development is a more advanced element that comes with understanding a language and programming. Look up problems such as finding Fibonacci numbers or "balancing" parenthesis. Skills like these come come before successful app development.
