Hello, I am buying one of these cases when I get my new 17" MacBook Pro in October. I would like to know whether anyone here has any experience with the Noreve cases. They do not seem to be widely known (though perhaps this is not the case in France, where they are made), but they look very nice. Thanks for info.

I have been raised a vegetarian and have not eaten a scrap of meat in my life.

Looks very classy... Wish I would've found this before I bought my Booq Vyper a month or so ago...

I have a booq viper right now for my 15" MBP, and I must say, I don't expect the Noreve sleeve to be quite a rugged as it is. I'll probably also get a viper for those times when it seems the conditions will warrant it.

Im on the market for a case too. This one seems a bit too pricey, and there's of course the leather in it lol (while I am not a vegan, i try not to buy animal-derived products, unless im going to actually consume them).

but it does look nice, if you like it, get it, looks classy (perfect complement for a MBP)

triddent222, I hope you realise there are animal products besides food which are inevitably produced every time one kills an animal for food. To eat meat but not use leather is absurd.

Quite of topic but another thing which is absurb is how cows are said to be holy in india but then they export a lot of leather which are from cows which are NOT threaten humane.

I guess someone eat the meat aswell thought.

And I guess it's good to use all the things from an animal, on the other side consuming the products makes the industry earn more money and therefor killing animals more attractive.

I also think shooting animals in the forest is a better choice than "industrial produced" meat, even if it looks cruel during the minute the animal dies .. (I hate to see it when they whistle to make the animal stand and listen what it was and then BANG, you're dead for doing what nature had earlier told you where the right thing to do. Of course it's good that it helps them to put better shoots into the animal but it's so sad each time it happens :()

Cows are revered by India's Brahman caste. Not all Hindus belong to it. Also, not all Indians are Hindu.

Somehow I didn't like it all that much, seeing the picture. I went with the memory foam sleeve myself, but I think iSkin SOHO looks nice (Macworld review).

[off topic rant]:

As absurd as NOT eating meat. Why don't you eat meat?

My choices as to eating meat/buying a real leather (or any other animal-derived) product are just that. MY CHOICES. It is extremely insulting of you to call my choices absurd just because you don't agree with me.

[/off topic rant]

You don't have to eat the case.

10/10 :D

I wouldn't buy a leather case - they aren't very durable. I've owned leather shoes and various other leather products and when they get wet, that's them ruined. Even just a sprinkle of water.

Over priced too.
