I'm looking for a bit of advice on expected charging behaviour: I have been using iPads since the 1st gen launched and, at the end of the day, I have always plugged in the charging cable and powered off the device, so it is at full charge the next day.
Until I purchased my iPad Pro 2022 (11 inch), my iPads have always remained powered off, until I powered them back on in the morning. However, my new iPad seems to consistently boot up again sometime during the night, when connected to the charging cable. Again, I have to stress, I always power off the device after plugging in the charging cable.
Has anyone else experienced the same behaviour? I booked an appointment to discuss this at the Genius Bar but they told me it was normal for iPhones and iPads to eventually power back on, when connected to a power supply. I would accept this were it not for the fact that all my other devices (including my current 2020 iPhone SE) haven't ever exhibited this behaviour.
