I've been noticing (been really bugging me) that my 20" iMac is slightly crooked. Is this normal for the G5/Intel iMacs? Is there an easy fix for it?

In what way is it crooked?

Is the base uneven, or is the computer mounted crooked on the base?

edit: Darn it mad jew, you beat me to it!

Your desk might not be even. Mine isn't. Makes it look like the screen is crooked on my new PB.

:|. It's quite frustrating. I'm at school so the desks are garbage. I just use my PB on my lap most of the time so I don't go nuts thinking my computer is messed up.

:)

It seems like the iMac is crooked at the top of the stand where the computer and the base are connected. I know the desk is likely crooked, but I am dangerously obsessive with this stuff. I shift my iMac 15-20 times a day. Everything in my room has its place ahd how it should look... and this really bothers me... went to bed thinking about it.

furryrabbitt, i'm with you on that one. I have anxiety, and I see things very strangely. I look at my computers screens and I can see the top and bottom of all the windows look very wavy and uneven. I see some areas raised and some lowered, some windows titled right, and some titled left.

Use (or buy) a level, and just get yourself a piece of mind. Set it on top of the iMac, and see what happens. If it isn't right, take it in to get fixed.

Thats an awesome idea... never thought about a level  But yeah... I am just so strange... when I notice something like that... I just become fixated on it I just can't seem to get past it no matter how much i try.

You are the new Mr. Monk, hehehe, yea just try to level it, c if it works :)

I'm the same way. All I see when I look at my PB is how the windows are "all curved in different directions". Which I know is impossible seeing as this is only 3 or 4 days old.

LOL, I have that too. When I look at the tops of windows (this is on multiple computers) I always see them as one end bends up along the top or they're not straight edges...it's really weird. If I ask someone they think I'm crazy.

Yep that happen with me. My old eMac drove me nuts, so much I ditched it for the iMac last week. I swore at the highest resolution the windows were jumpy (parents couldn't confirm, but my friend did) the geometry was all screwed up too. I swore the bottom left corner was bent in.
