iPhone X normal front facing camera?

I took a quick video of my daughter singing at a stop light and noticed it on playback. it looks horrible. I do have dark interior but it was around 7pm here and still plenty light out. it looks like there's a ton of noise on the top and bottom of the video.

is this normal? I'm not a selfie taker so I never really messed with the front facing camera until now.

hopefully the quality of the video is clear and noticeable.

That’s pretty normal. The front camera is better at closer range.

And your daughter is cute as a button!
