Hello fellow Mac Users.

I want to gauge everyone's thoughts on NAV for Mac. My Live Update subscription is about to end and I haven't decided if I want to renew it or if it's really necessary at all. What do you all think? I'm aware that most viruses are written for the PC, but are they any concerns out there that we should keep in mind? Are Mac virus definitions a necessity for safe computing? Or is it just a waste of money to renew?

I have been using Norton Antivirus for the Mac since it was first offered. Before that it was called Symantec Antivirus. I have purchased in on the theory of better safe than sorry. Have never had any problems with a virus.

I ran Norton Antivirus for more than two years, it never required me to purchase a renewal.

I'm in the "waste of money" camp.

Not as much of a waste as Burmese Tiger repellant, but still not necessary.

I used NAV for a long time on Windows (where it actually is quite helpful) and I never had to pay for additional time. Every time I reinstalled the program (a few times a year) the clock would start over. I imagine a similar thing would happen on the Mac.
