I'd never run Firefox without it. Never needed an adblock with it, and it cuts down on a lot of unnecessary stuff on a lot of bigger websites (and of course stops bad websites from running scripts in case that ever happens)
The only thing I don't like about it are all of the scripts that are automatically allowed on the first time it's installed, but it's pretty general stuff and it's not difficult to switch those off.
