Hi Guys,

Just bought my Iphone 3 GS, now i am trying to delete some apps but there is no way to proceed with it.

I hold down on the bottom and the app become shaky but no red cross on the apps to delete them.

Am i doing something wrong??

Thanks

The 'x' isn't red, its black, and only appears on user installed apps, not Apple apps.

What exactly are you trying to delete?

There is actually a way to hide the itunes store. If you turn restrictions on (Settings -> General -> Restrictions) and turn iTunes off it will hide the app icon altogether.

Do you know if there is a way to do this if you don't have 11 pages of apps?

Well, you don't need to have 11 pages FULL of apps, just a single app for each page. Then you can dump it to the 12th page. I don't know what will happen if you then move apps from the 11th to the 10th, 10th to the 9th, etc. (hope that makes sense), since I never tried it.

That to, but it would be a major PITA.

I think jailbreaking would be a major PITA! :D

I just un-jailbroke today. It was a PITA. Not jailbreaking itself, but that fact that my phone died every five minutes was.

EDIT:

Apparently you do need full pages. I can't move the icon to the "12th page," or out of sight. Hm, that sucks...
