Hi,
I bought a Mac Mini M1 yesterday, 256/8.
I managed to link my iCloud account, create a local account and update it to Monterey dev beta.
After that I erased it without unlinking my iCloud account. Now my password is not recognised when I try to login.
I tried to erase it many times, to unlink my iCloud account, to create a local account with no iCloud, to reset the password from recovery.
I keep getting the same issue. Not being able to create new accounts and passwords not working.
Even though I get errors when I create new accounts, they are created, but the password is wrong somehow and I can’t reset it via iCloud.
Anyone came across this issue? I have it for one day and I’m not able to use it already lol

Same happened to me with Monterey Beta 1 and 2. Factory reset was "broken": Mac asked me for a password to login after the restart - yet no user account existed..
I had to do a clean reinstall (via Recovery)..
