Not able to reset apple tv 2

I bought an apple tv 2 few weeks back.my tv screen is stuck on iTunes logo .i tried to restore the apple tv2 but not able to because every time I restore it I get an error message "9".what should I do pls help me out.

I have tried everything by restoring it through remote by iTunes ,changing the micro USB cable,changing the the system on which I am restoring ...nothing works.?

Again, is the firmware you are using the most up to date?
