Hi,

I am using the iOS 14 on my iphone 7. I am in India with Reliance Jio Carrier. I am not able to send text messages to anybody. Is this a known issue? This is a big deal and I might have to revert back to iOS 13. I just want to confirm before I do that.

Thank you.

no issues here. Is this your main device? Not advisable to use a beta on your daily driver.

I know and I normally don’t. But this time it was too good to resist. pretty weird as I have never had the issue before. Looks like I have to do some troubleshooting.

Settings > General > Reset > reset network settings.

Note: this will forget any Wifi Passwords.

Restart your phone.

Remove the sim and reinsert. Then again restart your phone.

Try Reset Network Settings.

Try Reset All Settings.

DFU Restore if needed.

Already restored all network settings. Nothing.
Restarted many times. Nothing
Will try removing the sim card and reinserting.

Had the same issue;

go to settings, messages, send as sms (enable, was set to disabled for me).

What worked for me removing the sim card and then removing the sim card and putting it back in. It started working after that.

Please note that it is a different setting. That will resort to sms whenever iMessage fails. Be careful if you are sending iMessage to international numbers. If data or wifi is not there, it will send as SMS and you would be charged.
