I just switched from PC to Mac. Love it so far, but I have a problem with my iPhone 3G. I'm typing in all my contacts manually in the addressbook on my iMac, instead of just exporting them from Outlook on Windows and then importing them. I figured that would give me the most "clean" transition to Mac.
Anyway... not all of my contacts are showing up on my iPhone. So far I've added 17 contacts to my addressbook, and just 15 appear on my iPhone. That was never an issues using Outlook/Windows.

Any solution?

Anyone? Anyone at all? Maybe you should try and compare the number of contacts on your iPhone to the number on your contactlist :)

Is there anybody else out there with the same problem? I'm wondering if it has been like this since the first iPhone, or if it's something that's gonna get fixed in firmware 2.2!?

Compare a contact that transferred and one that did not. What's different about them? Different category? Both Work, both Home, etc. Check iTunes settings.

The fact that some transferred and some did not is a good indication there's nothing wrong with either the iPhone or iTunes.

That's what's so weird about it. There's no common denominator as far as I can see. I don't really have a lot of data. It's limited to name, phone, email, and address. My iPhone has the latest software, and my iMac with Leopard is fully updated.

Would anyone be willing to try and compare the contacts on their iPhone with the ones on your Mac, and then let me know if it adds up or not?

I'd really appreciate it :)

I have 201 on the phone and 201 on the Mac.

I have the same amount on my mac as on my phone.
Whenever I add one to my contacts, it always transfers to my phone the next time I sync. And vice versa.

Weird that mine doesn't.

What computer/OsX and iPhone/Firmware do you use?
