Not all content on itunes is making it to my ATV

Forgive me but I can't find any info on this looking through the forums.

I got my ATV today and *think* I have it all set up. However only some of the shows in itunes are showing up on my ATV. I have itivo pulling shows from my tivo to my iMac and am *trying* to stream all itunes content to my ATV.

I am not sure that it is "streaming". It wants to sync but I don't want to sync.

How do I know if it is streaming? I know it's not streaming Pictures because there is nothing there.

Is this clear or am I rambling....?

Ok I have it streaming for sure now but still am not getting everything that is in my itunes library...

Custom Sync

Have you selected custom sync and TAKE OUT any check marks in "Show only the synced items on my Apple TV"?

That's not an option. I am just streaming....no sync. I am getting all of my movies but not all of my tv. Somethings are from the iTunes store and some of them are from my tivo "rips". They don't seem to discriminate.

Been trying to figure this out all day. No clue.

I'm assuming of course that you already clicked on TV shows tab and checked SYNC ALL? I'm not sure if that puts all of it on there or streams. I wish they would decipher that.

By the way. Thanks for introducing me to itivo. I'm testing it out now

After you subscribe to a show should it just download and convert it automatically? Cause it's just sitting in my subscriptions list.

Well see that's the thing when it is stream only there is NO options to sync. I only have two tabs at the top "Summary" and "Photos".

Under Photos tab it has a place to Share photos from: and then a pull bar menu. I have all from iPhoto selected.

Under Summary tab it just tells me the capacity and software version.

When I look on my ATV and go to shared movies MOST are there. When I look at Shared TV shows maybe half or a third are there. I am afraid to sync because I have a lot of shows that after time will not all fit on my Atv with 32.96 GB of space.

As for iTivo: Yes it GREAT I love it. If you go to Prefs in the bottom right hand corner options to schedule your transfers will pop up. As long as you keep the program up and running you can have it do everything when you plan to be away (like sleeping) Also in the same area you can choose Where you want items to download and have it edit out commercials.

I also recommend pytivo by the guy which will take anything from your computer and transfer it so it can be watched from your tv. (kind of like ATV)

Im not sure I know where the option to stream only is. What I do is I just have a couple of things checked to transfer to the atv. Then what ever isn't checked is streamed. This is what saves the room on my atv. I do t know if that helps you or not.
