So yea, today out of no where, phone has been acting up. iPhone 3G

It was saying that I have a unsupported item plugged in, with nothing plugged in. I try plugging it into my laptop or the wall adapter and nothing!

(trying 2 different cables also)

Plugged into into my Bose dock (older one), tells me it cant charge it (like usual) but would play music fine through the speakers.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks!

i had this problem. Only when i plugged mine into my computer it would say something like USB power surge, over current notice blah unplug blah. (like it was trying to use to much power)

I took it to a Genius, and he plugged it in and it did the same thing. He checked for water damage (none of course). A min later he brought out a new phone and I was on my way. He had no clue what was wrong with it.

If it is still under warranty, which it should just take it in.

Yup the little white dot is still there :)

Will Rogers store do the same? Closet store for me is about 4 hour drive.

Reset

OP have you tried to reset your iPhone by holding down the sleep/wake button and the home button at the same time for about 10 seconds. Might help with your problem.
