Hi all.

I had to change my mobile number recently. I’m with TalkMobile and they did it online. I wasn’t issued with a new SIM card.

I realised y/day I’d not changed the mobile in my Apple ID. I was eventually able to add the new number and get rid of the old one, and the new number is now a trusted number, but I’ve just tried to send a message and it wouldn’t send because my new number is not enabled for iMessage. If I go into Sign In and Security on my iPhone it shows the new number but says it is unavailable for iMessage and FaceTime.

Can I fix this without speaking Apple, please? Thanks for any help. I’m happy to speak to Apple but it’s Sunday evening and there’s nobody there at the moment.

Edit: Do I need a new SIM card?
