NOT for the Mac Air???

Anyone know why this won't work in the Air? I'm guessing its the plugin but just sounds mean spirited...in this season of 'good will towards men/women' and all...

I believe that the current MacBook Air uses SATA for the interface and this hard drive appears to be PATA.

it's 8mm tall. all MBA drives are 5mm.

Sadly this is 8mm high, the Air only supports 5mm.
Also, the connectors need to be SATA for Late '08 models, and PATA for early '08 models.
Finding drives for the Air is an absolute nightmare; I've tried...

My strategy is to wait 6 - 12 months until SSD prices have come down, as they are predicted to. Then they'll be cheaper and easier to find.

uh, did you read the two posts before yours? I'm curious because sometimes it feels like people don't read the thread before responding-- the MSNBC thread is a prime example. it's 50 people saying the same thing over and over.

you could probably google that and find the specs sheet and check the size.
